75% Fall Short Rate
Imagine a task in which you have a “75%” chance of failing. Who would want to be assigned that task? But as we look at the Parable of the Sower, we see four possible responses to hearing the gospel, and three of them end in falling short of God’s desire for us to be righteous in His sight. So why bother? You should “bother” because that 25% “success” rate is priceless. AND you will have divine help so that you will have no problem honoring the Father. Do what the Holy Spirit tells you to do every time. That’s it. I mean, Jesus did it. He showed us how to live a perfect life. Stop making excuses and seek to live how He lived when He was in human form. And when you fall short, there’s forgiveness for that. Trust God! Seek Him! Live Right and Prosper! Here’s today’s Bible verse. Enjoy. Matthew 13:18-23 18 “Listen then to what the parable of the sower means: 19 When anyone hears the message about the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what was sown in their heart. This is the seed sown along the path. 20 The seed falling on rocky ground refers to someone who hears the word and at once receives it with joy. 21 But since they have no root, they last only a short time. When trouble or persecution comes because of the word, they quickly fall away. 22 The seed falling among the thorns refers to someone who hears the word, but the worries of this life and the deceitfulness of wealth choke the word, making it unfruitful. 23 But the seed falling on good soil refers to someone who hears the word and understands it. This is the one who produces a crop, yielding a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown.” Today’s Readings: Matthew 12:46-13:23; Proverbs 3:33-35
