A Life Of Obedience
The gospel of John records Jesus saying, “If you love me you will keep my commands.” In a word, we must obey Him. But what does a life of obedience look like? That’s the question of the day. The answer may surprise you with its simplicity. A life of obedience looks like the life of Jesus. Did He have the favor of God on His life? Yes! Did He have the favor of man on His life? Yes! Did He study the scripture and heed every word? Yes! Did He suffer hardships? Yes! That’s what a life of obedience looks like. We obey all God has commanded. We endure hardship. And we share this gospel to all, whether they believe it or not. This curries favor with God and, ultimately, man! Here’s today’s Bible verse. Enjoy. Psalms 19:7-9 7 The law of the Lord is perfect, refreshing the soul. The statutes of the Lord are trustworthy, making wise the simple. 8 The precepts of the Lord are right, giving joy to the heart. The commands of the Lord are radiant, giving light to the eyes. 9 The fear of the Lord is pure, enduring forever. The decrees of the Lord are firm, and all of them are righteous.
