As you read Revelation 18, be mindful of what Babylon represents. They came to ruin because of their behavior against God by their treatment of God’s people. Because He is a just God, He could not allow this behavior to go unpunished. This is still the case today.
It is important for you and me to share the gospel with everyone in our sphere of influence. God’s wrath is real. It is not His desire to pour His wrath out on the non-believer. But if justice requires it, He will. It is God’s desire that “all (people) would be saved and come to the knowledge of truth.”(1 Timothy 2:4) However, that can only happen if we, the believers, share the gospel. The Bible teaches us in Romans 10, that the non-believer can only believe if someone shares this Good News with them. Let that be you. Here’s today’s Bible verse. Enjoy. Revelation 18:24 24 “In her was found the blood of prophets and of God’s holy people, of all who have been slaughtered on the earth.” Today's Reading: Revelation 18

I hear people talk about hell as if it is going to be a great party as one parties here on earth. In those moments, I am confident that those people have never reflectively read Revelation 17. If they had, they would know that hell does not have an earthly party awaiting their arrival.
As believers, our place in eternity with Christ is secure, but we must have a hunger to share the gospel and our testimony with the lost. We cannot be content in our salvation. We must seek to share Christ with anyone who enters our sphere of influence and does not know Christ. Here’s today’s Bible verse. Enjoy. Revelation 17:12-14 12 “The ten horns you saw are ten kings who have not yet received a kingdom, but who for one hour will receive authority as kings along with the beast. 13 They have one purpose and will give their power and authority to the beast.14 They will wage war against the Lamb, but the Lamb will triumph over them because he is Lord of lords and King of kings—and with him will be his called, chosen and faithful followers.” Today’s Reading: Revelation 17 This chapter is a reminder to Christians that we must share the gospel and our testimony. Yes, we are safe from God’s wrath, but non-believers are not. There is no hope for those who refuse to believe in God. Who, in your sphere of influence needs to hear the gospel? Share it with them. Eternity lies in the balance. Here’s today’s Bible verse. Enjoy.
Revelation 16:2 2 The first angel went and poured out his bowl on the land, and ugly, festering sores broke out on the people who had the mark of the beast and worshiped its image. Today’s Reading: Revelation 16 As I read chapter 15 this passage from Exodus popped in my head. Take a moment and meditate on this question; do you put anything in your life before God.
It can be easy to get distracted by the hustle of life to the point that you put God in a passenger seat. That should NEVER happen. If you realize you’ve done that, SLAM on the brakes right now and give God full control of your life. If you have control of your life for even one second, that’s all the time the enemy needs to come in and destroy your life without God’s permission. Let that sink in. Here’s today’s Bible verse. Enjoy. Exodus 20:1-3 And God spoke all these words: 2 “I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery. 3 “You shall have no other gods before me. Today’s Reading: Revelation 15 I love being reminded of the faithfulness of God. Reading chapter 14 can be disheartening, if you read it with no hope. But if you take your time, you will notice this passage tucked right in the midst of the warning to those who worship the image of the beast.
God always makes a way for the remnant. Those who believe in Him. If they wait patiently, they will be with Him in time. As believers, we must always wait patiently on the Lord. This patient waiting gives an example of hope to those in our sphere of influence. Here’s today’s Bible verse. Enjoy. Revelation 14:13-14 12 This calls for patient endurance on the part of the people of God who keep his commands and remain faithful to Jesus. 13 Then I heard a voice from heaven say, “Write this: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.” “Yes,” says the Spirit, “they will rest from their labor, for their deeds will follow them.” Today’s Reading: Revelation 14 One of the most notable passages in the Bible is this one. As I grew up, I saw movies about “the mark of the beast,” people tried to figure out who the beast was, and the number 666 was “feared.” Now that I have a better understanding of the nature of God, I realize that the “beast” only has power over non-believers.
As a child of God, you will not experience the “power” of the beast like others will. It’s far more likely that you will not be on earth when this time spoken about in Revelation 13 occurs. I encourage you to share the gospel, share your testimony, and help make the earth empty when the “beast” is roaming around seeking to destroy people. Here’s today’s Bible verse. Enjoy. Revelation 13:18 18 This calls for wisdom. Let the person who has insight calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man. That number is 666. Today’s Reading: Revelation 13 As you read Revelation 12, note the power of God. Satan is no match. He is “not strong enough.” Why would anyone who understands this ever leave God’s side.
Take in this entire chapter. Read it twice or three times if needed. The joy of the Lord is your strength. God will protect those who earnestly seek Him. He will allow those who do not choose Him to receive the fate of Satan. Be mindful of this and share the gospel. Eternity is at stake. Here’s today’s Bible verse. Enjoy. Revelation 12:7-9 7 Then war broke out in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought back. 8 But he was not strong enough, and they lost their place in heaven. 9 The great dragon was hurled down—that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him. Today’s Reading: Revelation 12 This passage is a reminder of what I heard a preacher say one time. He said, “things are not what they seem.” He went on to share about what we see is not always how things really are. He stressed the importance of relying on God for understanding.
As you read this chapter and meditate on this passage, I pray that you gain an understanding that God cannot be defeated. You, as long as you stay connected to Him as your Source, cannot be defeated. Things may look bleak. Your circumstances may seem insurmountable, but no matter what, put your hope in God. He is undefeated. Things are not what they seem. Here’s today’s Bible verse. Enjoy. Revelation 11:11-12 11 But after the three and a half days the breath of life from God entered them, and they stood on their feet, and terror struck those who saw them. 12 Then they heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them, “Come up here.” And they went up to heaven in a cloud, while their enemies looked on. Today’s Reading: Revelation 11 As you read chapter ten of Revelation, allow yourself to picture what John was experiencing. Seek understanding. It would be easy to ignore the significance of this book. Many non-believers dismiss the book of Revelation as fantasy. I pray that you do not do that.
Meditate on this chapter. How does it help you better understand the heart of God? With whom can you share this gospel? How is the book of Revelation impacting your life as you get to know God better? Here’s today’s Bible verse. Enjoy. Revelation 10:1-3 Then I saw another mighty angel coming down from heaven. He was robed in a cloud, with a rainbow above his head; his face was like the sun, and his legs were like fiery pillars. 2 He was holding a little scroll, which lay open in his hand. He planted his right foot on the sea and his left foot on the land, 3 and he gave a loud shout like the roar of a lion. When he shouted, the voices of the seven thunders spoke. Today’s Reading: Revelation 10 I find it fascinating how we read the Bible and all of creation obeys God. However, the smartest of His creation, humans, seems to think disobedience comes with no consequence. Here’s today’s Bible verse. Enjoy.
Revelation 9:3-5 3 And out of the smoke locusts came down on the earth and were given power like that of scorpions of the earth. 4 They were told not to harm the grass of the earth or any plant or tree, but only those people who did not have the seal of God on their foreheads.5 They were not allowed to kill them but only to torture them for five months. And the agony they suffered was like that of the sting of a scorpion when it strikes. Today’s Reading: Revelation 9 |
