Ask God, Then Listen
How often do you seek God before you make a decision? Notice how David seeks God twice for the same decision. God loves us and is happy to guide our decision making. Who knows more than God? I encourage you to seek God in all your decision making. If your thought is, “sometimes I cannot recognize God’s voice,” then you must increase the time you spend alone with Him in your Bible. You have no problem recognizing the voice of a friend, a spouse, a parent, or your child. Why? Because you spend time with them. Now do the same with God. Here’s today’s Bible verse. Enjoy. 1 Samuel 23:1-4 When David was told, “Look, the Philistines are fighting against Keilah and are looting the threshing floors,” 2 he inquired of the Lord, saying, “Shall I go and attack these Philistines?” The Lord answered him, “Go, attack the Philistines and save Keilah.” 3 But David’s men said to him, “Here in Judah we are afraid. How much more, then, if we go to Keilah against the Philistine forces!” 4 Once again David inquired of the Lord, and the Lord answered him, “Go down to Keilah, for I am going to give the Philistines into your hand.” Today’s Reading: 1 Samuel 23
