Avoid Contaminates

This passage reminds me of an everyday reality; we need to avoid contaminates. Whether it’s food, drink, vapors, or anything that can harm us physically, we are warned of the presence of contaminates to protect our bodies. 

Here, Paul is warning us to avoid spiritual contamination. This type of contaminate can be deadly with eternal repercussions. 

What or who do you need to eliminate from your life because it will contaminate your walk with Christ? Why are you taking so long to get rid of it? Jesus’ work at the cross empowers you to live a life wholly pleasing to Him. So don’t waste another minute contaminating your life. Choose Him then follow all He has commanded you to do. Therefore, since we have these promises,dear friends, let us purify ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit, perfecting holiness out of reverence for God.
