Better Is one Day

Years ago, I loved listening to and singing a song titled “Better Is One Day.” That song is Psalm 84. As I read it, I was reminded of that song. Consider the lyric that says “my heart and soul cry out for You the living God.” Do you ever stop to consider what that means?

God is alive. He is not a piece of wood or a man-made statue that cannot move without the power of an outside source. Live your life like you truly believe that better is one day in God’s house than a thousand elsewhere! Here’s today’s Bible verse. Enjoy. 

Psalm 84:1 & 10-11

1 How lovely is your dwelling place, Lord Almighty!

10 Better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere; I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of the wicked. 11 For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord bestows favor and honor; no good thing does he withhold from those whose walk is blameless.
