Deceived!

In America, we have so many freedoms that as Christians we are easily deceived. Reading this chapter of Colossians, I am reminded of the countless philosophies I’ve heard from well meaning American Christians. “God wants me to be happy,” “God knows my heart,” and my personal “favorite,” “My relationship with God is personal between me and Him. I don’t need to go to church.”

The deception is real. Have you fallen victim? Take time out of your busy schedule to see where God is prioritized in your life. If you do an honest assessment, you may be surprised at the results.

6 So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, 7 rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.
