Dedicated Prayer & Fasting

This passage is well known among believers, however, I’m not sure it’s well lived.

Most believers have no problem praying, but fasting, that’s a whole other animal. 

I have spent much time praying and fasting. I can say with 100% certainty, every time I fasted, God spoke to me. There is a vulnerability in fasting that you cannot get any other way. 

When the Bible talks about fasting, it means food. I know people fast many different things, and that’s okay. But a Biblical fast is abstaining from food for a period of time. 

Are you a person who has fasting as a part of their prayer life? If not, spend time with God. Ask Him how you can better incorporate fasting into your prayer life. I am confident you will be glad you did. Here’s today’s Bible verse. Enjoy.

28 After Jesus had gone indoors, his disciples asked him privately, “Why couldn’t we drive it out?”
29 He replied, “This kind can come out only by prayer.”
