Demons Know Him
These two passages beg one question, if demons know who Jesus is, why do we struggle knowing the fullness of who He is. Many people know “of” Jesus, but not many know Him the way these demons know Him. And that’s a problem. Knowing Jesus is critical to knowing God. You may “think” you know God, but if you don’t know Jesus, you cannot know God. Take time out of your busy schedule today and spend time alone with God. Allow Him to reveal Himself to you in a fresh, clear way that will enable you to know Him and His Son. Begin to have a relationship with Him that will enable you to share the gospel and make disciples. That’s what He has called all of us to do! Here’s today’s Bible verse. Enjoy. Luke 4:33-35; 40-41 33 In the synagogue there was a man possessed by a demon, an impure spirit. He cried out at the top of his voice, 34 “Go away! What do you want with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are—the Holy One of God!” 35 “Be quiet!” Jesus said sternly. “Come out of him!” Then the demon threw the man down before them all and came out without injuring him. 40 At sunset, the people brought to Jesus all who had various kinds of sickness, and laying his hands on each one, he healed them. 41 Moreover, demons came out of many people, shouting, “You are the Son of God!” But he rebuked them and would not allow them to speak, because they knew he was the Messiah. Today’s Readings: Luke 4:31-5:11; Proverbs 11:22
