Do Your Job
I love when God provides a new perspective on something I’ve read countless times. I’ve also taught this parable. Yet, this morning, the Lord opened my eyes to a critical lesson in the Parable of the Sower. The farmer did not focus on the different soils. He focused on his job at the moment, scatter seed. He knew the importance of scattering seed if you want to reap a harvest at the proper time. We are called to scatter “seed” as well. The Word is that seed. Be careful not to get so focused on the possible harvest that you forget to “sow the seed” everywhere you go. If you start deciding who is good soil and who is not, you will certainly mess it up. Let’s take a page from the farmer’s book. Let’s scatter seed everywhere and let God focus on the growth and harvest. Here’s today’s Bible verse. Enjoy. Mark 4:14 14 The farmer sows the word. Today’s Reading: Mark 4
