Don’t Be A Fool
I recently heard a saying that has infiltrated my heart and mind. It is, “Only a fool learns every lesson by their own experience.” When I heard that, I thought about the time I wasted doing things my way, knowing full well a person with experience in that area told me it wouldn’t work and why. Sure enough, it didn’t work and their “why” was spot on. I hear people say, “They gotta learn it on their own.” No, they do not because that’s a fool’s way to learn. Throughout the Bible we are encouraged to get wisdom. Why? Because wisdom uses the knowledge from other’s learned experience to avoid the same inevitable pitfalls. Doesn’t that make more sense. Ask the Father to show you the areas in your life where you move blindly and stubbornly because you refuse to learn from other’s’ experience. It is the best way to live. It saves time and heartache! Here’s today’s Bible verse. Enjoy. Proverbs 3:21-26 21 My son, do not let wisdom and understanding out of your sight, preserve sound judgment and discretion; 22 they will be life for you, an ornament to grace your neck. 23 Then you will go on your way in safety, and your foot will not stumble. 24 When you lie down, you will not be afraid; when you lie down, your sleep will be sweet. 25 Have no fear of sudden disaster or of the ruin that overtakes the wicked, 26 for the Lord will be at your side and will keep your foot from being snared. Today’s Readings: Matthew 12:1-21; Proverbs 3:21-26
