Don’t Worry, Pray
Before my mother passed away, she used to always say, “ if you’re going to worry, then don’t pray. But, if you’re going to pray, then don’t worry.” As I read this passage, those words came to my mind. How often do we look at a situation, and begin to worry about the possible negative outcome? Just as the people prayed for Peter in his time of need, we also must pray in our time of need. However, let me take it one step further. We should pray continuously. By remaining in constant prayer, we remain in constant communication with God. Thus, ensuring that we will have an outcome that works for the good of those who love God and are called according to His purpose. And that is always a good thing! Here’s today’s Bible verse. Enjoy. Acts 12:5 5 So Peter was kept in prison, but the church was earnestly praying to God for him Today’s Readings: Acts 12; Proverbs 17:14-15
