What an interesting statement David makes in this passage. Of course, he is likely talking about a literal trap that could have been set by King Saul or David’s son Absalom, both of whom wanted to kill him. Like David, we have literal traps set before us, but we also have spiritual traps set before us.
If we want to avoid the hazard of either type of trap, we must seek God daily. We must read our Bible daily, pray daily, and seek the counsel of mature Christians daily. If we are not doing this, we set ourselves up for a fall. Remember, your adversary, the devil, is prowling around like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour. Don’t become his prey. Here’s today’s Bible verse. Enjoy. Psalm 31:4 4 Keep me free from the trap that is set for me. Today’s Reading: Psalm 31:1-8
