Fear God, Not Trouble
As I read this proverb, I am reminded of what the psalmist writes in Psalms 91:7-8, “A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you. You will only observe with your eyes and see the punishment of the wicked.” Yes, trouble will come, but praise be to God because when we fear Him, the trouble does not touch us permanently. We may notice the effects. We may experience a challenge. But in Christ, trouble does not bring destruction. Here’s today’s Bible verse. Enjoy. Proverbs 19:23 23 The fear of the Lord leads to life; then one rests content, untouched by trouble. Today’s Readings: Romans 7:1-13; Psalms 17; Proverbs 19:22-23
