Freedom By The Spirit

You’ve heard me talk about American Christians combining the Constitutional freedoms with their freedoms in Christ. This passage reminds me that the only freedom that matters is the freedom given by the power of the Holy Spirit. It is righteous freedom. It enables us to share with the poor, without wanting any recognition. It enables us to visit the imprisoned without seeking the spotlight. It enables us to contend in prayer for people, watch the prayer come to fruition, and tell no one we were praying. 

That type of freedom is what God wants us to exercise in Christ. Do you employ that freedom in your life? Here’s today’s Bible verse. Enjoy.
