Gabriel

As you read Daniel 8, you will see a familiar name, the angel Gabriel appears. This is the same angel who appears in Luke 1 to tell of the births of John the Baptist and Jesus. I love this connection because it is a reminder that God is at work continuously and He doesn’t change. 

Consider this as you ponder what your are doing in Jesus’ name. God is consistent. God is faithful to His word. God does nothing randomly. If you find yourself jumping from thing to thing to thing, odds are it isn’t God guiding you. We have no evidence of Him doing that. Here’s today’s Bible verse. Enjoy.

15 While I, Daniel, was watching the vision and trying to understand it, there before me stood one who looked like a man. 16 And I heard a man’s voice from the Ulai calling, “Gabriel, tell this man the meaning of the vision.”
