Genealogies
If you’re like I used to be, you always want to skip over genealogies when you’re reading the Bible. However, years ago, God opened my eyes to the importance of genealogies. Now when I see them I immediately want to figure out how this tracks to Jesus. In today’s genealogy, we can track Jesus back through Noah’s son Shem. If you go to Luke 3, you will see the part of the genealogy that Shows how Jesus line came through Shem and his descendants. The next time you want to skip over a genealogy, first do a little study to learn how this may relate to Jesus. Here’s today’s Bible verse. Enjoy. Genesis 10:21-25a 21 Sons were also born to Shem, whose older brother was Japheth; Shem was the ancestor of all the sons of Eber. 22 The sons of Shem: Elam, Ashur, Arphaxad, Lud and Aram. 23 The sons of Aram: Uz, Hul, Gether and Meshek. 24 Arphaxad was the father of Shelah, and Shelah* the father of Eber. 25 Two sons were born to Eber: One was named Peleg, Today’s Reading: Genesis 10 *-Called Cainan in the Septuagint, which is a Greek version of the Hebrew Bible.
