Think back to a time someone hurt you or “did you wrong.” How did you respond? Many times, when I have done somebody wrong or hurt them they say, “I’ll remember that.” The implication is, “I’m going to get you back for this wrong you’ve done to me.”
As you read this section of the Psalms, I pray you will have a heart change, if you still need one. In Christ, we must allow God to be our avenger. His vengeance is always righteous. Ours is never righteous because it does not come from a heart of compassion and love. It comes from hurt and, possibly, hate. These are two traits a Christian can never exhibit AND well represent God. Here’s today’s Bible verse. Enjoy. Psalm 9:11-12 11 Sing the praises of the Lord, enthroned in Zion; proclaim among the nations what he has done. 12 For he who avenges blood remembers; he does not ignore the cries of the afflicted. Today’s Reading: Psalm 9:1-12
