Good Enough?
When I was in the Army we had a saying, “That’s good enough for government work.” The problem with this saying is it confirms that whatever was done has not been finished the best it could have been. It gives people the “right” to do less than their best. In Christ, we should never say, “That’s good enough for service to Christ.” Like Paul writes to the people of Thessalonica, we need to do our best and then do even more. Have you been doing the minimum for Jesus? Spend time meditating on your walk with Christ. We are called to make disciples teaching others to obey everything Christ commanded us to do. Is that what you’re doing? If not, it’s time to get to work. Here’s today’s Bible verse. Enjoy. 1 Thessalonians 4:1 As for other matters, brothers and sisters,we instructed you how to live in order to please God, as in fact you are living. Now we ask you and urge you in the Lord Jesus to do this more and more. Today’s Reading: 1 Thessalonians 4
