Got Wisdom?
Years ago there was an ad campaign that simply said, “Got Milk.” The idea was, if you drink milk you will gain strength. They used different celebrities in the ad. Each person had a milk mustache. I’m not sure how much milk was sold, but it was a clever ad campaign. As I read this passage in Proverbs, the thought, “Got Wisdom?” came to mind. Well, do you? This scripture assures us of the importance of having wisdom. However, in it, we are not told how to find it. We learned that in other places in the Bible. We must fear the Lord. Key to having a healthy fear of the Lord is daily Bible reading and prayer. Your prayers must be intentional. You must include time to listen for the voice of God when you pray. That part is critical to gaining wisdom. Take time daily to sit quietly and listen for the voice of God. Sometimes it’s so low, it’s barely audible. Stay focused, He’s there. Here’s today’s Bible verse. Enjoy. Proverbs 3:13-15 13 Blessed are those who find wisdom, those who gain understanding, 14 for she is more profitable than silver and yields better returns than gold. 15 She is more precious than rubies; nothing you desire can compare with her. Today’s Readings: Matthew 10:1-23; Proverbs 3:13-15
