Healed His Way

Healed His Way

Noticing the many different ways Jesus heals people is something I enjoy and never get tired of learning. In this passage He heals a deaf and mute man with His fingers and spit. Wait, WHAT?!

What makes it more noticeable to me is the reality that He healed a demon possessed girl without ever physically seeing her. His words, alone, were enough.

Why did He use His fingers and spit to heal the deaf mute man? I do not know. What I do know is that Jesus did not seem to do random things. If He did it, there was a specific purpose.

What are you going through? Trust that Jesus will “heal” you His way. Here’s today’s Bible verse. Enjoy.

Mark 7:33-35

33 After he took him aside, away from the crowd, Jesus put his fingers into the man’s ears. Then he spit and touched the man’s tongue. 34 He looked up to heaven and with a deep sigh said to him, “Ephphatha!” (which means “Be opened!”). 35 At this, the man’s ears were opened, his tongue was loosened and he began to speak plainly.

Today’s Readings:

Mark 7:24-8:10; Proverbs 10:15-16
