Homework Review
I had some good responses to the homework the other day. This chapter holds the answer to the homework question of the importance of the genealogy found in Genesis 22. The writer slips Rebekah into the story for seemingly no particular reason. Until we read Genesis 24. Then we understand why the writer mentioned that genealogy. As you read the Bible, seek to understand why things are written where they are written and why things are said the way they are said. To me it’s fascinating. It reminds me of the sovereignty of God. He prepares us for everything He plans for us to do. Here’s today’s Bible verse. Enjoy. Genesis 24:15-16 15 Before he had finished praying, Rebekahcame out with her jar on her shoulder. She was the daughter of Bethuel son of Milkah, who was the wife of Abraham’s brother Nahor. 16 The woman was very beautiful, a virgin; no man had ever slept with her. She went down to the spring, filled her jar and came up again. Today’s Reading: Genesis 24
