How can the Psalmist say such a thing as we read in verse one of this Psalm?
Let me explain. Your pursuit of God may be riddled with slips and falls, but as you continue to get up and follow Him, you, too, can make this same claim. Look at the life of Peter. How many times did he “stumble?” Nevertheless, God uses Peter to lead the early church. This may seem “wrong” to you, but that says more about you than it does about God. The writer of this Psalm is David. Look at his life. Did he live a perfect life? We know the answer is no. However, God describes David as a “man after My own Heart.” Your actions, alone, do not disqualify you from speaking this Psalm over your life. Only a heart turned against God will do that. What’s your heart posture toward God? Here’s today’s Bible verse. Enjoy. Psalm 26:1 1 Vindicate me, Lord, for I have led a blameless life; I have trusted in the Lord and have not faltered.
