My First Benediction
They say you never forget your first. This passage is the first benediction I memorized. What makes it more special is the writer. It is a brother of Jesus Christ. Jude opens the book by calling himself a servant of Jesus Christ and the brother of James (writer of the book of James). We know that James is a brother of Jesus Christ, therefore, so is Jude. Then he closes his book with such an honoring benediction. This level of honor is unheard of in our society today. Do you have a sibling or a very close friend whom you can honor with your words today? Take time to honor them. It will bless them and, you will also be blessed. Here’s today’s Bible verse. Enjoy. Jude 24-25 24 Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, 25 To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen. Today’s Reading: Jude
