My Teenage Best Friend
As I read this passage, I thought about the relationship between Paul and Titus. Although we cannot be sure of the age gap, we can infer that Paul was quite older than Titus based on the language Paul uses to describe Titus. In this passage, he calls Titus his partner and co-worker. And I love that. I have a friend I call my teenage best friend. We both agree that this type of friendship is abnormal. Yet, the way God has used the two of us the past few months has been incredible to say the least. The thing I love most about the friendship is the way we both encourage each other in the Lord. I’ve learned from them more than I’ve been able to pour in. For this I am grateful to God. It is a reminder that God can use anyone, anything, and anywhere to teach us and draw us closer to Him. As you look at your friend group, make “a relationship with Christ” the priority. If they point you towards Christ and allow you to hold them accountable, you have the foundation of a great friendship. Trust me, I know! Here’s today’s Bible verse. Enjoy. 2 Corinthians 8:23 23 As for Titus, he is my partner and co-worker among you; as for our brothers, they are representatives of the churches and an honor to Christ. Today’s Reading: 2 Corinthians 8
