No One’s Sneaking In
One thing I’ve noticed about death in the United States. It is that we have a 100% “Going to Heaven” rate. Every person “is in a better place”. They’re “with God now.” Scripture does not support this ideology. In this passage, Jesus teaches a different reality. He says that people who think they belong will be cast out. There’s a way to know for sure that you will be with God for eternity; accept the sacrifice of Jesus for the forgiveness of your sin. That’s the “price of admission.” This cannot be faked. You cannot “act” saved and enter the kingdom of heaven. No one is sneaking in! Here’s today’s Bible verse. Enjoy. Matthew 22:11-13 11 “But when the king came in to see the guests, he noticed a man there who was not wearing wedding clothes. 12 He asked, ‘How did you get in here without wedding clothes, friend?’ The man was speechless. 13 “Then the king told the attendants, ‘Tie him hand and foot, and throw him outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’ Today’s Readings: Matthew 22:1-33; Proverbs 6:20-26
