One Thing I Ask

I love this passage in this psalm. It reminds me of a song a friend of mine wrote and recorded while we lived in the Netherlands. The song captured the true essence of what the psalmist desires; he wants to be in the presence of the Lord forever. 

If I’m being honest, that’s my desire as well. However, before that day comes, God has tasked me with sharing this gospel to everyone I can for as long as I can. So that’s what I’m doing. 

What has God tasked you to do? Don’t get ahead of yourself by only daydreaming about the day you can gaze at His beauty forever. Be about His business and help others come to know Him and they will also be able to gaze at His beauty forever. 

Your place in heaven may be secure, but the unknowing person’s is not. Here’s today’s Bible verse. Enjoy. 

Psalm 27:4

4 One thing I ask from the Lord, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the Lord and to seek him in his temple.
