When’s the last time you prayed and fasted as you took something before the Lord? We know Daniel was a man who sought God in all he did. He was willing to give up his life for his faith in God. So, if he prayed and fasted we should as well. 

Jesus was asked by His disciples why they were not able to cast out a demon from a young man. Jesus responded by telling them that type can only come out by prayer. Some manuscripts say “prayer and fasting.” If Jesus taught it and Daniel did it, we should do it as well. Here’s today’s Bible verse. Enjoy.

3 So I turned to the Lord God and pleaded with him in prayer and petition, in fasting, and in sackcloth and ashes.
