Repent and Be Baptized
Yesterday was overwhelming for me. I experienced God like I had never experienced Him before. I saw Him move in ways that I’ve never dreamed of. I thought I had a good handle on the ways of God, but I was humbled. This week I am a part of a discipleship retreat. Before we kicked off the retreat, God allowed me to have a special moment with my wife and our friend Grace. That time of preparation should have warned me that God was moving a little different, but I was not ready for what He did. Lives were changed for Christ. Four people publicly professed their faith through water baptism. I never imagined that God was going to move like that. I’m not sure why I couldn’t imagine it. I’ve seen God move too many times to count. But yesterday seemed even more special. Please pray for us as we continue to seek God. Our desire is to prepare in this place, then “Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations…” Here’s today’s Bible verse. Enjoy. Acts 2:37-39 37 When the people heard this, they were cut to the heart and said to Peter and the other apostles, “Brothers, what shall we do?” 38 Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39 The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off—for all whom the Lord our God will call.” Today’s Reading: 1 Corinthians 7
