Respectful Fear

Proverbs 9:10 says that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. This passage in Psalm 128 seems to be a reminder of the benefits of having a fear of the Lord. 

This fear is not like being afraid of something that may harm you. It is that respectful fear that you may have of disappointing a parent, a coach, or a teacher. 

Do you love God in such a way that your respect for Him leads you to obedience to Him? This is what God wants more than sacrifice. Here’s today’s Bible verse. Enjoy.
