Today we begin reading one of Jesus’s longest teachings. There is so much here that we could do a several week/month Bible study on this chapter alone.
What struck me about this passage is Jesus says, “you are the salt…” Then He says, “if the salt loses its saltiness.” That struck me. Is He saying that we can lose our ability to live a Christ-honoring life? What do you think? How does your answer inform how you live? Here’s today’s Bible verse. Enjoy. Matthew 5:13 13 “You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again?
