Proverbs 7 is thick. Sin is the adulterous woman. Be careful not to convince yourself that you are not seeking an adulterous relationship so this passage does not apply to your life. It most certainly does.
The first passage speaks to the person who believes they can get near the “line between righteousness and sin.” This is always a mistake. As you walk toward sin, you walk away from God and His protection. You will never be able to “make” God protect you from something He didn’t send you near. The second passage is a reminder of what happens to the person who lives their life in sin. Please seek to live a life of righteousness. It is better by far. Here’s today’s Bible verse. Enjoy. Proverbs 7:6-9; 24-27 6 At the window of my house I looked down through the lattice. 7 I saw among the simple, I noticed among the young men, a youth who had no sense. 8 He was going down the street near her corner, walking along in the direction of her house 9 at twilight, as the day was fading, as the dark of night set in. 24 Now then, my sons, listen to me; pay attention to what I say. 25 Do not let your heart turn to her ways or stray into her paths. 26 Many are the victims she has brought down; her slain are a mighty throng. 27 Her house is a highway to the grave, leading down to the chambers of death.
