Self-Denial
As you walk on your faith journey, be reminded that it’s not about you and your wants. Living for Christ means placing God first and the needs of His creation before your own. This can prove very difficult, especially in a me first society. You can get to a place where you’re thinking, “if I don’t get mine by myself, mine won’t get got.” In Christ, that thinking is far from the truth. He tells us to deny ourselves. This means we do not seek to satisfy ourselves, but rather seek His face and do, immediately, what He asks. Here’s today’s Bible verse. Enjoy. Mark 8:34-35 34 Then he called the crowd to him along with his disciples and said: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me. 35 For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me and for the gospel will save it. Today’s Reading: Mark 8
