Matthew 20 is full of “walk with Christ” lessons. I want to focus on the lesson to serve. This is something that does not come easy for some people. If it were not for my wife and the example of service she lives in front of me, I would struggle more at serving others. That should not be the case.
In this passage, Jesus is clear, serve others like I do. He repeats this in John 13 after He provides the most humble act of service by washing His disciples feet. He then TOPPED that by going to the cross. Jesus has set the best example of service. Let’s follow it. Here’s today’s Bible verse. Enjoy. Matthew 20:25-28 25 Jesus called them together and said, “You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their high officials exercise authority over them.26 Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant,27 and whoever wants to be first must be your slave— 28 just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” Today’s Reading: Matthew 20
