Serve Someone Today
As we near Resurrection Sunday, we must be mindful that today is the day that Jesus washed His disciples feet, then was arrested. I encourage you to do one act of service for someone today. Maybe a little more than holding a door for them. Consider that Jesus, the King of kings and Lord of lords, washed His disciples feet. That is a statement act of service. In that time, feet were very dirty as people wore sandals and walked on dusty ground. Make a conscious effort to serve someone today but do not tell anyone at this time. There may come a day when you will share what you did as a part of your testimony. God will let you know what the right time is. Here’s today’s Bible verse. Enjoy. John 13:14-17 14 Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet. 15 I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you. 16 Very truly I tell you, no servant is greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him. 17 Now that you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them. Today’s Reading: Luke 9:51-10:12; Proverbs 12:11
