Something To Ponder

Ponder this: how someone thinks about you says more about them than it does about you. Notice the response/concern Joseph’s brothers have to his kindness. They think he’s plotting against them. We have read nothing in this story that would lead us to believe that Joseph would plot to overthrow anyone, much less his family. 

However, we have clear evidence that his brothers would plot against someone, including their family member. Subsequently, this is how they think about others. Remember this the next time you find yourself accused by someone. It says more about them than it does about you. Here’s today’s Bible verse. Enjoy.

18 Now the men were frightened when they were taken to his house. They thought, “We were brought here because of the silver that was put back into our sacks the first time. He wants to attack us and overpower us and seize us as slaves and take our donkeys.”
