Speak Kindness
Life can come at you fast. One issue turns into two issues, then quickly into three difficult issues you must confront. It can be overwhelming. You begin to think, “how am I going to deal with all these issues.” From that thought, anxiety sets in. Eventually, your anxiety takes control of your thoughts and actions. You act in fear and you speak in anger. Neither feeling is your hearts desire. Paul teaches us in one of his letters to the people of Corinth that we must take captive every thought and make it obedient to Christ. When we allow anxiety to guide us we are not allowing the Holy Spirit to guide us. Bring each issue to the feet of Jesus when they come. Don’t let them stock pile in your heart to the point that they quiet the voice of the Holy Spirit. When that happens, you will have real issues. Speak kindness over your life. It is a key to overcoming anxiety. It is difficult to be kind to yourself, while also belittling yourself. Combat anxiety with self-kindness. Here’s today’s Bible verse. Enjoy. Proverbs 12:25 25 Anxiety weighs down the heart, but a kind word cheers it up. Today’s Readings: Luke 13:1-21: Proverbs 12:25
