Stop Projecting
One of the worst things we can do is project our feelings onto others. Because we think or feel a certain way does not mean others think or feel that certain way. We must allow others to share their feelings and their ways with us; we should not assume we know. This is what happened in this passage. Joseph’s brothers assumed that Joseph was going to get his revenge on them. They had no idea how much Joseph loved and obeyed God. This meant that he loved his brothers, dearly. At no point do we read that Joseph was angry with his brothers. Do you project your thoughts and feelings onto other people. I encourage you to stop projecting. It’s not helpful. Here’s today’s Bible verse. Enjoy. Genesis 50:18-21 18 His brothers then came and threw themselves down before him. “We are your slaves,” they said. 19 But Joseph said to them, “Don’t be afraid. Am I in the place of God? 20 You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives. 21 So then, don’t be afraid. I will provide for you and your children.” And he reassured them and spoke kindly to them. Today’s Reading: Genesis 50
