The Joy Of Worry
One thing people are going to do is worry. We worry about things that usually never happen. The only thing that gives it life is our lack of faith in God. I once heard a person say that worry is merely faith in the wrong thing. It takes faith to believe that the thing we’re worrying about is going to come to pass. Worry is rarely based in fact. It’s debilitating, yet the way people worry, you would think they find joy in it. In this passage, Jesus warns us not to worry. He provides ample support to His reasoning for us not to worry. So it begs the question: why do we worry? It’s not Biblical. It’s not required. It’s not life giving. In fact, there have been studies that indicate that worrying can cut one’s life short. I’ll ask the question again. Why do we worry? Here’s today’s Bible verse. Enjoy. Luke 12:22 22 Then Jesus said to his disciples: “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; or about your body, what you will wear. Today’s Readings: Luke 12:8-34; Proverbs 12:21-23
