The Pursuit Of Righteousness
The way we live matters. God has not called us to talk a good life, He’s called us to live a good life. That is only possible if we live a life pursuing righteousness. In His Sermon on the Mount, Jesus is recorded as saying, “Seek first the Kingdom and His righteousness.” This means seeking to do what is right. And it starts with a relationship with Jesus Christ. The truth is there is none righteous, not even one. We are only made righteous through His sacrifice which cleansed us from our sin. Take some time today to do a life inventory. What occupies your time? What are your priorities? If God is not first on the list, you must rearrange your priorities. There’s nothing more dangerous in this life than a life that does not have God as priority One. Here’s today’s Bible verse. Enjoy. 1 Timothy 6:11-12 11 But you, man of God, flee from all this, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness. 12 Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses. Today’s Reading: 1 Timothy 6
