The Scriptures
Do you want to walk right with God through Jesus by the power of the Holy Spirit? Read your Bible. But don’t simply read it out of obligation. Seek to understand better this man Jesus Christ who gave His life so you could have a right relationship with the Father. Here are some things to ponder. In this section of Luke, Jesus talks about the prophecy of Himself starting with Moses and working through all that was written about Him. The people of His day had access to the scriptures. We also see Paul sharing with people in this same manner. Additionally, before Stephen was stoned to death he also shared with the people the prophecies of Christ. If you want to walk right with Christ, you must get to know Him by reading your Bible daily. Every book of the Bible, including Esther, points to Jesus Christ. By reading it, you grow in knowledge and faith. And without faith it is impossible to please God (Hebrews 11:6). Here’s today’s Bible verse. Enjoy. Luke 24:25-27 25 He said to them, “How foolish you are, and how slow to believe all that the prophets have spoken! 26 Did not the Messiah have to suffer these things and then enter his glory?” 27 And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he explained to them what was said in all the Scriptures concerning himself. Today’s Readings: Luke 24:13-53; Proverbs 14:11-12 *Bonus Question: Why did I say, “including Esther?”
