The Significance of Wisdom

Welcome to the book of James. I have a testimony about this book and the role it has in my life. Maybe God will allow me to share it in the coming days. 

The passage I have highlighted helps us understand the significance of wisdom. Throughout the Bible, God emphasizes the importance of getting wisdom. As the writer of Proverbs says, “The beginning of wisdom is this; get wisdom. Though it cost you everything, get understanding.”

How do you gain wisdom, by seeking God in all you do. He is the giver  of all good and perfect things. Here’s today’s Bible verse. Enjoy. 

James 1:5-8

5 If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God,who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. 6 But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. 7 That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. 8 Such a person is double-minded and unstable in all they do.
