Think Right Live Right
This is another one of those passages I’ve read many times, yet this morning it hit different. Are you trapped in a cycle of sin activity? You know what you should do, but that’s not what you’re doing. Notice verse fourteen. It says not to “think about how to gratify the desires of the flesh.” Contrast that with Philippians 4:8. It always comes down to what you set your mind on, that’s what you will do. Romans 12:2 gives us direction. We also get mind setting instructions from Colossians 3:2. In the end, how you think matters. Take time out of your schedule today and unpack the “habitual” sin areas of your life. Ask yourself why you continue to do this thing you know is not God honoring. Then seek God through His Word by the power of the Holy Spirit and ask Him to help you. He will. Do what He says. When He says don’t do it, don’t do it. It will be a challenge, but you’re up for it! Here’s today’s Bible verse. Enjoy. Romans 13:11-14 11 And do this, understanding the present time: The hour has already come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed. 12 The night is nearly over; the day is almost here. So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light. 13 Let us behave decently, as in the daytime, not in carousing and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and debauchery, not in dissension and jealousy. 14 Rather, clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not think about how to gratify the desires of the flesh. Today’s Reading: Romans 13
