Unequally Yoked
An important, yet misunderstood verse in the Bible is 2 Corinthians 6:14. Paul is warning believers to not be “yoked” with unbelievers. Some people have interpreted this as meaning Christians at different levels of faith. Which can create a division within the church similar to the time of Jesus with the actions of the Pharisees and Teachers of the Law. This is the wrong interpretation of this passage. Notice that Paul compares believers in the Way to believers of other gods. That is a clear distinction between different level believers in Christ and unbelievers of Christ. In your pursuit to “make disciples” are you allowing yourself to compromise the Word to “try to win souls for Christ.” This is a subtle ploy of the enemy that works well. Be careful who you get yoked with, you may get pulled in the wrong direction. Here’s today’s Bible verse. Enjoy. 2 Corinthians 6:14 14 Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness? Today’s Reading: 2 Corinthians 6
