Wait Not Want Not

There is a saying that is, “waste not want not.” It means if you use your supplies appropriately, you will find that you have enough. That is the inspiration for the title of this devotion.

The woman had been actively searching for a healing. Her search began long before Jesus stepped into His ministry. By the time Jesus arrived in her life, most people would have lost hope. Because she believed there was “something out there” that could bring healing, she was ready to receive healing by faith in Jesus.

What have you been wanting, but the waiting has made you lose hope? Trust God and actively pursue a right relationship with Him. His timing is perfect. If you wait well on Him, you will never find yourself wanting. Here’s today’s Bible verse. Enjoy.

Matthew 9:20-22

20 Just then a woman who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years came up behind him and touched the edge of his cloak. 21 She said to herself, “If I only touch his cloak, I will be healed.”
22 Jesus turned and saw her. “Take heart, daughter,” he said, “your faith has healed you.”And the woman was healed at that moment.

Today’s Readings:

Matthew 9:18-38; Proverbs 3:11-12
