Wash Someone’s Feet
This passage is one of my favorite because it provides a clear message for us to follow. We must serve others at the lowest level; wash someone’s feet. Most people only want to serve in ways that make them look good. They like the fancy mission trips to far away places so they can “brag” about the time they went to help the people of Poor Country. Those same people will not walk out of their house and go right down the street in their own city to help the needy. Our service is not for show, it’s to actually help people in their time of need. Make a plan to go serve someone in a way that brings you no glory but will glorify God. It will bless you in ways you may have never been blessed before. Here’s today’s Bible verse. Enjoy. John 15:14-17 14 “Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet. 15 I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you. 16 Very truly I tell you, no servant is greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him. 17 Now that you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them.” Today’s Readings: John 13:1-30; Proverbs 15:29-30
