Who Said It
When we are told to do something, it matters who said it. We make our decisions based on the credibility of the person who has told us to do the thing. For example, if a person you do not trust tells you to do something, you’re probably going to have many questions, you’ll hesitate, and likely may not do that thing. Conversely, if someone you love and trust tells you to do a thing, you may have questions, but your trust will win the day and you’ll go ahead do what they told you. Who said it matters. In this passage, Peter is giving us instructions on how to live well in Christ. This is the same Peter who walked with Christ. He is the same Peter who walked on water. He is the same Peter who denied knowing Christ three times. And he is the same Peter who preached on the day of Pentecost. He is credible. Take time to ponder the words in this passage. Allow the Holy Spirit to guide you toward a life dedicated to Christ. A life where you cast all your cares on Jesus knowing He cares for you. Here’s today’s Bible verse. Enjoy. 1 Peter 5:6-9 6 Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time.7 Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. 8 Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. 9 Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings. Today’s Reading: 1 Peter 5
