With Persecutions
As believers in Christ, we sometimes forget a promise Jesus made in this passage. If we have given up everything to follow Christ, we will inherit eternal life. However, it comes with persecutions. That’s the part most believers do not want to hear or do. We want a simple, Christ-centered life that allows us to think about rainbows and butterflies all day. We do not want our faith challenged. TOO BAD!! If you want to walk well with Christ, your faith is going to be tested. There are varying levels of persecution, but it is all persecution. Endure it! Keep sharing the gospel! Keep making disciples. If Jesus endured, so can you! Here’s today’s Bible verse. Enjoy. Mark 10:29-30 29 “Truly I tell you,” Jesus replied, “no one who has left home or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or fields for me and the gospel 30 will fail to receive a hundred times as much in this present age: homes, brothers, sisters, mothers, children and fields—along with persecutions—and in the age to come eternal life.” Today’s Readings: Mark 10:13-31; Proverbs 10:20-21
