Talk about a tough passage to read. How many times have you withheld the truth for fear of hurting someone’s feelings? I’ve lost count.
What is the answer? One thing we can do is choose our words better. We can tell the truth without saying things that may hurt someone’s feelings. This can come down to timing. On the other side, we must be willing to hear the tough stuff. We must accept that we are not perfect and our loved ones say things to help us, not hurt us. If we begin to practice this behavior, we may be able to eliminate one type of deception from our lips. Let’s get started now. Here’s today’s Bible verse. Enjoy. Psalm 12:1-2 1 Help, Lord, for no one is faithful anymore; those who are loyal have vanished from the human race. 2 Everyone lies to their neighbor; they flatter with their lips but harbor deception in their hearts. Today’s Reading: Psalm 12
