You Thought
It cracks me up when my students used to use the phrase “You Thought,” because those words alone said everything that needed to be said about the mess up somebody did. As I read this passage in Esther, those words came to my mind about Haman. His overinflated opinion of hisself was his down fall. The people around him supported his ill advised plan to get rid of Mordecai. It begs the question, “why do people surround themselves with people who are not good for them.” I encourage you to take a serious look at who you are allowing to advise you. Do they use the Word of God as their reference? If not, you have the wrong people guiding you. You should make a change before someone says, “You Thought” to you. And at that point, it may be too late to fix the problem. Here’s today’s Bible verse. Enjoy. Esther 7:5-6 5 King Xerxes asked Queen Esther, “Who is he? Where is he—the man who has dared to do such a thing?” 6 Esther said, “An adversary and enemy! This vile Haman!” Then Haman was terrified before the king and queen. Today’s Reading: Esther 7
